Two Minutes Is Plenty of Time for Most Wedding Exits

The key to making the most of the two-minute burn is getting everyone organized before lighting begins.

We recommend gathering your guests, handing out one sparkler per participant, forming two lines, and distributing plenty of wind-resistant, torch-style lighters throughout the group. Aim to have everyone lit and ready during the first minute. That leaves roughly another minute for the couple to walk through the sparkler tunnel, pause for a kiss, and let the photographer capture the moment.

For most well-organized wedding exits, that's all the time you need.

If you'd rather have extra breathing room while everyone gets organized, or your planner or photographer wants additional time for photos, consider our 36" Wedding Sparklers. Consistent, Low-Smoke Performance

Our wedding sparklers are machine-made for consistent application of the sparkler composition along the wire. You may see other sparklers marketed as "double dipped," but that terminology comes from older manufacturing methods and isn't a meaningful measure of quality for modern machine-made sparklers.

We work directly with our factory partners to manufacture sparklers to our specifications and import them ourselves. That gives us control over the details that matter: consistent construction, reliable ignition, verified burn time, and dependable performance from one package to the next.

All sparklers produce some smoke, which is why we describe ours as low smoke rather than "smokeless." Their wire-core construction avoids the additional smoke created by burning bamboo, while the classic gold effect doesn't require the added color compounds used in colored sparklers. That's especially important when dozens of sparklers are burning together around your guests, photographer, and videographer.

How Many Wedding Sparklers Do I Need?

Plan on one sparkler for each person participating in your exit. As a practical starting point, around 80% of your invited guests may participate, although every wedding is different. There's no need to stress over getting the number exact, and it's perfectly fine to order a few extras!

You can also order your wedding sparklers well ahead of the big day. Sparklers store well when kept in their original packaging in a cool, dry place, so ordering early is one less thing to worry about as your wedding gets closer.
