How do you keep the confetti color a surprise?

Our gender reveal cannons use a generic exterior design that doesn't reveal whether the confetti inside is pink or blue. With the kit, we include separate instructions explaining how to identify the colors privately, so the person helping organize your reveal can choose the right cannons without spoiling the surprise for everyone else.
